I have a Starkey surf link Device I use with my tv and it works great streaming to my hearing aid, however I now have a new Samsung tv and it does not work. I am told this is because of the Dolby system on the new TV. 背ill this device work for me? Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are not that familiar with Starkey SurfLink devices or Samsung Televisions. It is likely the Gefen Digital Audio to Analog Decoder will work for you, but we could not say for sure. With this device you could take an optical or coax digital audio out signal from the TV and convert it to 2-chanel analog audio; but, you may also be able to take an analog audio signal directly from the TV. Instead of using an Optical TOSLINK or Coaxial S/PDIF out on the TV, we would try using the Audio-Out RCA jacks if available. That should provide a 2-chanel analog audio signal. It may also be possible to change settings on the TV to remove any Dolby processing. Unfortunately, Detailed product support is beyond the scope of this simple FAQ. If neither of the above suggestions work, we would recommend contacting the Starkey Hearing Technologies support team directly. They should have a better idea of what settings would be needed for the ideal sound. |
