An external USB battery can be used to maintain uptime for the manageability of the iBoot-PDU during power outages. Using a battery, in conjunction with a voltage alarm software trigger and email sequence provides a \'Call-For-Help\' function that alerts you when there is a power failure at home. <br /><br />You can also set up Autoping. AutoPing continuously tests your connectivity to the internet or to any device on your network.
