Converting HDMI to DVI-D is pretty straight forward, as both signals are digital.  However, an active converter is needed to go from an analog VGA signal to a digital HDMI signal. <br /><br />Converting from analog to digital display signals or visa-versa is never ideal, and may or may not be supported by a particular device.  For the best user experience, we recommend staying either analog or digital whenever possible.  If the source is analog, we would recommend trying the original iPeps: https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/adder-ipeps.html<br /><br />There is some information in the manual about converting video signals, but nothing referencing converting an analog VGA signal to digital HDMI.  You can find the manual here (https://www.42u.com/pdf/MAN-IPEPS-PLUS-ADDER_V1-1.pdf) and information on Converting HDMI to DisplayPort or DVI-D can be fond starting on page 7.<br /><br />(Please also note, that DVI-I can support either a digital [DVI-D] signal or an analog [DVI-A] signal. The host just sees a keyboard, a mouse and a video connection.
