Is this cable compatible with an HP DL380G7 server?

The short answer is, maybe. The question really revolves around what KVM switch the other end of the cable is plugged into. Without knowing which switch is on the other end, we cannot give a direct compatibility answer.


KVM manufacturers generally use proprietary cables. This Avocent cable will not work with a Raritan KVM. However, if the server will be plugged into an Avocent KVM, that uses this specific cable, it should work fine, as long as the HP DL380G7 has PS/2 and VGA connections.

Is this cable compatible with DSR-series KVM switches? i.e., in substitution of DSRIQ cables?
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, no, this integrated cable will not work with the DSR series of KVM Switch. The USBIAC family of integrated access cables is for use with the AutoView series of KVM.

For the DSR series, use the MPUIQ-VMCHS dongle (https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/mpuiq-vmchs.html). The MPUIQ is the direct replacement for the DSRIQ series of dongle.
