I have two questions: 1) Some users are reporting that the SV340 doesn't correctly display resolutions above 1920x1080 - see http://community.emerson.com/networkpower/support/avocent/f/105/t/5712. Can you confirm with Avocent that this unit properly displays UHD 4K resolution? 2) Are you able to stock the Avocent SV340H model (same model as this one, except with HDMI connections instead of DVI)? Thanks!
Thank you for your inquiry,

Avocent has not experienced the issue with SV340 resolution support highlighted in that thread - I was assured that as long as you use the correct cable - Dual-Link DVI (not Single-Link) - no problems should occur with resolutions up to 4K UHD.

We do indeed sell the .

If you would like a recommendation based on your application, please feel free to
contact your KVM Switches Online sales representative.

Sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience as we updated KVMSO to a new format.

Is the Avocent cable with part number CBL0120 a "dual link" cable? Meaning I can use it with VGA or DVI monitors connected to this KVM using adapters?
Thank you for your inquiry,

You can use the CBL0120 cables (DVI-I - transmits digital and analog signal - VGA is analog) with the Avocent SV340 to support VGA through a passive adapter (i.e. VSA11).

The CBL0120 and SV340 are also \'Dual Link\' but that wouldn\'t affect VGA - \'Dual Link\' adds six additional pins (located in the center of the connector) for supporting resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz.

For a recommendation based on your application, for info about passive VGA adapters, or for any further clarification on DVI-I vs. Dual-Link, please feel free to contact your KVM Switches Online sales representative.

Is the SV340-001 compatible with the LV3010P-001 and the LV3020P-001? Also, does the SV340-001 have true USB emulation?
Thank you for your inquiry,

The Avocent SV340 can indeed be used with the LV3010P and LV3020P extenders - You can use the CBL0120 or CBL0121 cables (DVI-I - transmits digital and analog signal - VGA is analog) with the Avocent SV340 to support VGA through a passive adapter (i.e. VSA11).

Depending on your application, you may want to look at the Avocent LongView 4000 series instead for native DVI extension - same features as LV3000, except for DVI instead of VGA, and up to 164ft instead of 1000ft.

The Avocent SV340 does also feature true USB emulation to prevent delay or dropped devices during switching.

Please let us know if you have any further questions, or would like help configuring your application.
